Elizabeth Starr, NORR's Director of Planning, Glenn Burwell, Director of NORR Vancouver and Alexis Bahry, Marketing Manager for NORR Calgary attended the Canadian Resort Investment Conference held in Kelowna, BC October 14th-15th.

The conference provided networking opportunities for 180 delegates from across Canada who represented all aspects of the resort industry from developers and operators to consultants and lenders. Sessions presented a range of topics including obtaining financing in today's economy, choosing amenities and creating marketing strategies. Developers in attendance were advised to use reputable consulting teams and carefully phased, well costed concepts in order to succeed in tough economic times.

The conference provided NORR with a chance to connect with potential resort/hospitality clients and partners as well as improved insight into how to best serve clients facing difficult market conditions via planning and design that manages their risks. NORR also participated as exhibitors throughout the event.
