Held at the Marriott Renaissance Center, in downtown Detroit, NORR sponsored and was the exclusive architectural exhibitor at a three-day conference called the
Creative Cities Summit 2. CCS2 was a dynamic and engaging event focused on the industrial economics of Detroit, its shift towards a creative economy, and the challenges and opportunities that lie within that shift.
Keynote speakers such as Richard Florida, author of "The Rise of the Creative Class ", breakout sessions, networking hubs and panel discussions offered insight into the rethinking and redesigning of our cities for the new age of innovation, sustainability, knowledge and creativity.
The Summit was attended by developers, architects, urban planners, civic leaders, media professionals, educators, and community leaders. From its onset, NORR Interior Designer, Kate Baigrie and Senior Marketing Coordinator, Elaine Taylor, volunteered their efforts in working with the Summit planners and Haworth Corporation in the coordination of the networking hubs and media stations. Graphic and image consultation was additionally provided.
